Started my ECFMG application in M2, took Step 1 a few months after basic sciences, and Step 2 CK right after core rotations. Sent Form 186 and transcripts within a week of my Step 2 CK score, and certification came about 6 weeks later—just in time for Match. Biggest takeaway: apply early, keep a close eye on your document status in OASIS, and don’t let rotations slow down your Step 2 CK prep.
