Looking Back: What I Wish I Knew During My Transition
#1
As an alumni now in residency, I often think back to the transitions I went through from undergrad into medical school, and later from pre-clinicals into clinical rotations. Each stage brought its own challenges: adjusting to a new academic culture, coping with the pace of coursework, and finding my footing in a hospital setting.
What made the difference for me was consistency and support keeping a steady study routine, leaning on peers, and not being afraid to ask for guidance. These lessons shaped the resilience I carry into residency today.
